Holiday travel time is here and the airports are expected to be busy this year. When navigating through airports, catching shuttles and staying with family, it is important to keep things simple by packing light. Check out our top tips for a less stressful holiday season when you're away from home.
Tip #1: Wear layers
When you're on a plane, the temperature can vary wildly from one minute to the next. It's important to wear layers so you can adjust your outfit as needed. Keep in mind that on overnight flights your body temperature can drop and you will feel cold.
Traveling by car can be a less stressful way to get where you're going but the limited cabin space and the shared temperature controls can cause us to feel anxious and uncomfortable for an hours-long trip.
A cardigan is the most versatile piece in your closet, allowing you to add or remove it as temperatures fluctuate. You can layer it over a t-shirt or tank and it's lightweight enough to conserve space in your carry-on luggage.

Tip #2: Choose clothing that is comfortable and breathable
Loungewear and Athleisure are excellent go-to options for cute, yet stylish travel choices. These pieces are typically made from moisture and sweat-wicking fabrics, allowing air to circulate to keep you feeling cool and comfortable for several hours. The soft, stretchy fabrics will give you freedom of movement that you will be grateful for when on an airplane or in a car for long periods of time.

Tip #3: Keep it simple
When you're packing for a trip, it's important to keep your choices simple. The less clothing you pack, the easier it will be to find what you need when you're on vacation. Stick with solid colors and basic designs that can be mixed and matched easily. This way, you'll have fewer things to worry about when it comes time to get dressed each day. A basic black legging is our go-to choice for creating several outfit options without packing your entire closet. Pair them with a t-shirt and cardigan, a shacket or your new favorite sweater.

Tip #4: Wear comfortable shoes
When you're traveling, you'll likely be doing a lot of walking. Make sure your shoes are comfortable and provide good support. Choose a pair of sneakers or flats that are both comfortable and versatile enough to go with several of the outfit choices you've packed.
